Portuguese economy shrinks official 0.4% in third quarter

The Portuguese economy shrank by 0.4 percent in the third quarter, after a flat performance in the second quarter, initial official data showed on Monday.

Output in the third quarter, on a 12-month comparison, fell by 1.7 percent, the national statistics institute Ine said.
