Woman rescued after being stranded on rocks at Portimão beach

A 26 year old Finnish woman had to be rescued on João de Arens beach yesterday afternoon after being stranded on rocks, due to the rising tide.

The alert was given by the employee of a nearby hotel at around at 12:20, and the crew of the Ferragudo Lifeguard Station were immediately activated.

Upon arrival at the site, the team found that the young woman was in good physical condition, without the need for medical assistance, and were able to rescue her and transport her to the Portimão marina.
