Algarve’s new inland motorhome network launched in Aljezur

motorcaravan1A new motorhome route across the Algarve aims to attract further tourists to the interior of the region.

The €2.2 million project is developing 14 motorhome parks along the EN 124, with the support of In Loco and the Algarve’s mayors with EU funds.

In an interview with Sul Informação, the president of In Loco said “the Dutch, the Germans, the British, the French who visit us in their motorhomes not only want a place with conditions and insurance – they want to know the area, know what to visit, what local products they can buy, where the restaurants are located. This is what the Rota Serrana will also offer.”

The Rota Serrana will be launched at the Nature Tourism Biennial, which runs from tomorrow until Sunday 24th February in Aljezur, (HERE) will explain the route between Alcoutim, and Aljezur and the associated website.
