‘La noche en blanco’ is the night of artists and art lovers.
Expect various forms of art ranging from paintings to music or sculptures as artists from all over the country congregate throughout Madrid — theatres, streets, cafés and parks.
Viewers are urged to come with an open mind and let art overcome their senses as this promises to be a different sort of art exhibition – at night and for free.
That night, artists will exhibit their works and talents based on this year’s theme – the gift.
The main idea of this nocturnal event is to allow art lovers to enjoy the cultural legacy of Madrid.
In order to create a create a special ambience for the art demonstrations, the city centre will be emptied from cars.
This is the fourth year Madrid is hosting the event. La noche en blanco is also hosted in other European cities such as Paris, Brussels Riga, Bucharest Malta and Amsterdam).
