Donald Beyer, the US ambassador to Switzerland, has criticised the violence sparked by a film that pokes fun at Islam. In an interview with the Zurich-based newspaper SonntagsZeitung, Beyer also commented on whistleblowing and the on-going tax dispute between the two nations.
