Six volunteers begin 520-day simulation flight to Mars

On Thursday, the six-man crew – made up of volunteers from Russia, China, Italy and France – is to begin a 520-day simulation trip to Mars. The astronauts will be isolated from the external world for a year and a half. The crew won’t be able to use the Internet, to watch TV and listen to the radio.
