Premier seeks to rally lawmakers behind critical budget cuts

With fresh anti-austerity demonstrations expected Thursday, Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou tried to rally lawmakers behind a budget package containing severe spending cuts and tax hikes that would help secure a joint EU-IMF bailout deal.
