United Kingdom Zapatero condemns ‘rumours’ circling Spanish economy

Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero condemned Thursday "unfounded rumours" hinting that Madrid is set to request bailout aid from the EU. French President Nicolas Sarkozy also denied there was a problem with Spain's finances.
