Senate to probe BP’s role in release of Lockerbie bomber

A US Senate committee will question BP officials on July 29 after the oil giant said it had pushed for the repatriation of a Libyan national convicted for the 1988 airliner bombing over Lockerbie, Scotland, to secure a drilling deal with Libya.
