Luxembourg says meat in lasagne scandal falsely marked beef

Horsemeat discovered in lasagne meals sold in Britain was of French origin and was falsely labelled beef, according to health authorities in Luxembourg where the dishes were prepared.

Luxembourg company Tavola, which makes the products for the Findus brand, imported the meat from France but it was “fraudulently labelled” beef, the country’s director of veterinary services Felix Wildschutz told AFP.
