Apparently it all happened in broad daylight, on one of the busiest roads in Luxembourg citiy. A man says he was approached by two women with a pram on the boulevard Royal on Tuesday at 5pm. According to his statement, one of them suddenly pulled out a gun, told the man to go withdraw 1.000 euro from a nearby bank. She then hid the gun in the pram.
The man then entered the bank – under the pretext of withdrawing the money – and immediately notified the authorities. But the two women had vanished by the time police could get there.
However, it all turns out to have been a false alarm: the man had apparently made it all up!
