EURES launches revamped online portal

Based on feed-back from users and members of the EURES network and applying the latest Web 2.0 technologies, we have been working hard to make a revamped EURES portal that has a modern and user-friendly design and includes a range of new features and tools such as social networking, virtual job fairs, videos, etc.

Contacts between jobseekers and employers will be further facilitated by the improved CV application. Individualised calendars will make it easier to get updated information on upcoming recruitment and information events and users will be able to exchange views and experiences with each other via online forums.

What will happen now?
We expect the new portal to be opened on 19.07.2010. The old portal will remain accessible until then, but as we will need some time to migrate all information from the old portal (user information, CVs etc) to the new one, you must not modify or add any information during the migration process. You will therefore not be able to log in to your My EURES account after 01.07.2010 at 09:00 (CET).

What do I have to do?
When you log in to the new EURES portal for the first time, you should review all your details to make sure that all information about you is still correct and well presented.

Jobseekers should note that all CVs will be made invisible to employers after the migration. They must therefore reactivate their CVs after having reviewed them in order to make them visible again.

Questions?
If you have any further questions you are welcome to contact the Helpdesk/Contact Centre using the channels provided on the ‘contact’ page on the EURES portal.

This is only the first step in our ambitious development plan for the years to come. So make sure to connect regularly as new improvements will continue to be added.

We are looking forward to seeing you soon on the new EURES portal!
