United Kingdom EU awards Cuban dissident Guillermo Farinas top human rights prize

The European Parliament has awarded its prestigious Sakharov prize to Cuban dissident Guillermo Farinas. Earlier this year, Farinas had gone on a hunger strike to press for the release of imprisoned opposition figures.
