MADRID — Police arrested a man Monday accused of killing a Senegalese immigrant in Roquetas de Mar, a seaside town in Almería province, on 6 September.
The incident caused violent riots for 48 hours in the southern town, in which seven people were injured and ten were arrested.
Juan José ON (26), a Spanish national of Roma (Gypsy) origin, was arrested near Almería city. He was hiding since the 6 September murder of Ousmane Kote (28) during a fight between Gypsies and sub-Saharan African immigrants in Roquetas del Mar. Kote was trying to break up the fight.
