CADIZ - Two men have been arrested and accused of raping 10 women in Cadiz between 1995 and 2000 - crimes for which an innocent man has spent the last decade in prison.

The new arrests follow a new inquiry into the case that led to a man, identified by the initials R. R. R., being imprisoned 10 years ago even though the rapes continued after his arrest and his DNA did not match evidence from the crime scenes. He was convicted because one victim claimed to recognize his voice.

The new suspects are two 53-year-old men who carried out the apparently random attacks wearing military uniforms.
