MADRID – The Spanish men’s handball team beat world champions Germany on Sunday, notching up a 30-22 win that ensures a place in the second round of the European Handball Championships in Norway.
In a dazzling display of team spirit, the Spanish side showed the coordination they had lacked in other recent games, including an embarrassing defeat at the hands of Hungary last Thursday and a lacklustre victory over Belarus on Saturday.
