SALOU – Two men were arrested Wednesday in connection with an alleged sex attack on a British teenager.
Police said the 18-year-old victim was enjoying a holiday at the Costa Dorada resort of Salou, near Tarragona in Catalonia, in north-east Spain when she was assaulted.
The attack happened at 2am Tuesday when the teenager was walking through Calle Carles Buigas de Salou after a night out.
She was sexually attacked in the street by two Senegalese men.
The men, aged 37 and 23, were later arrested by police.
Police sources told EFE news agency that the men have been held in custody accused of a sexually assaulting the teenager.
The identity of the girl is protected by order of the court.
Salou is a tourist resort popular with British visitors to Spain.
