MADRID (EFE) – The 18-month-old Spanish girl whose father shot her in the neck during an argument with the mother died early on Friday morning from her injuries, said the hospital.
Doctors at Madrid’s Doce de Octubre Hospital had been treating the girl since Tuesday when her father – a 29-year-old Spaniard of Dominican origin – shot her in a park in Torrejon de Ardoz near Madrid.
The mother picked up her daughter and ran for help.
The father then shot and killed himself.
The man had been separated from the woman and a court had ordered him in May not to approach the mother, but neighbours say both the mother and the father had regularly broken the court order.
