Spanish realist painter and sculptor Antonio Lopez launched a major exhibition Friday in Madrid's Thyssen museum including an uncompleted series of paintings of the capital's Gran Via.

“There is not a single thing in the exhibition that does not incorporate a slice of my life,” the 75-year-old artist told a news conference to present the June 28 to September 25 exhibition.

“It is like seeing all your days collected together.”

The exhibit includes oils, drawings and sculptures of interiors, still life, and projects including several busts of his grandchildren, of which there is a giant example outside the Madrid-Atocha railway station.
