MADRID – Spaniards have now caught up with the rest of Europe when it comes to height, according to a study released on Friday by five university hospitals.
The investigation, which took the measurements of some 32,000 people between the years 2000 and 2004, reveals that in 20 years, Spanish men have grown an average of between 1.4 and 3.4 centimetres, while women have grown between 2.6 and 4.2 centimetres, meaning that only the Germans, Dutch and Swedish are taller.
