Police catch up with Briton wanted for murder

MALAGA – A British man who was wanted in connection with a murder in 1987 in Spain was arrested Monday in Malaga.

The 34-year-old, who has not been named, was arrested by Spanish police at Malaga airport.

He was wanted for a killing a man in a knife fight in a bar in Marbella in August 1987, Spanish police said.

The brawl ended with one person being stabbed to death.

Police used handcuffs to stop the man escaping at the airport.

Authorities would only release his initials, DD.
