Pilot killed in ultra-light crash near Seville

SEVILLE-The pilot o fan ultra-light aircraft was killed after a crash near Seville, authorities said.

The 40-year-old Spaniard died from his injuries in hospital.

The pilot, who has not been named, smashed into an olive tree shortly after taking off from an ultra-light centre in Guillena, near Seville. 

The plane, called an Avid Flyer, was owned by the pilot who died.

Investigators said the pilot had been coming back to land after discovering some problem with the aircraft, when he crashed.

The accident happened just after 6pm on Tuesday night.
