Costa del Sol is officially the sunniest spot in Spain

THE Costa del Sol is officially the sunniest place in Spain.

The southern Spain favourite enjoys on average more than 320 sunny days each year, according to the national Meteorological Agency.

That’s equal to 2,905 hours of sun every year, which is 100 hours more than the next sunniest region, the Canary Islands.

Malaga boasts the most sun-filled hours in the whole of Spain, with an average of 3,000 a year.
