Morocco’s navy interceped a boat off the Mediterranean coast carrying about a tonne of cannabis resin and arrested a Briton and a Spanish national on baord, officers said Tuesday.
The pair, aged 33 and 50, had loaded the drugs on a beach in the region before setting off for Europe on Saturday in a yacht, said a spokesman for the Morocco’s royal gendarmerie.
A navy patrol stopped them off the coast of Oued Laou in Tetouan province.
