ALICANTE – Yesterday a judge in Dénia, Alicante, denied two British gay nationals’ marriage application, the fourth time the magistrate has taken such a decision.
On the previous three occasions, Judge Laura Alabau refused to permit gay marriages, she justified her decision on the grounds that in the applicants’ country of origin, homosexual unions are not permitted.
Alabau was fined by a disciplinary committee last year for violating the Judicial Code.
