Eleven held for Yemen suicide attack which killed seven

YEMEN – Police in Yemen arrested eleven people on Wednesday in connection with the terrorist attack which killed seven Spanish tourists.

They were arrested in Al Mareb, a city near the suicide bomb attack on Monday which also left seven other Spaniards injured.

Police sources said there was no conclusive evidence against the suspects.

All the detainees are Yemeni.

Spanish police forensic experts were helping Yemeni police in the investigation.

Meanwhile, the bodies of the murdered tourists arrived back in Spain on Wednesday in a military plane with some of the injured.

Authorities in Yemen have laid the blame for the attacks with Al-Qaeda.
 
Yemeni press reports said Al-Qaeda recently threatened tourist attractions in the country.
