A priest was injured and an assistant, known as a sacristan, killed on Wednesday in an attack on a church in the south of Spain, a police source told AFP.
“Shortly before 8:00 pm, a person launched an attack with a bladed weapon, killing one person and injuring others in the San Isidro church in Algesiras,” an interior ministry statement said, adding that the attacker was arrested.
