Brothers found shot dead in Málaga town

4 March 2008

MADRID – The small town of Villanueva del Trabuco (Trabuco meaning, ironically, blunderbuss) was in a state of shock yesterday, after the double murder of two brothers.

Juan and Francisco Cabello Poderada, both aged between 40 and 50 years old, were found shot dead in their olive grove in the small Málaga town of just 5,300 inhabitants.

The younger brother of the pair, José, and a neighbour have both been arrested. The motive of the crime is thought to be financial.
