LEON — A British climber has died after falling 60ft down a mountainside and into a ravine in northern Spain.

Matthew Cockell, 29, from Great Yarmouth, Norfolk was with colleagues from the Cambridge Language School in Barcelona when he fell on 18 August, the BBC reported.

His body was recovered from a river by a mountain rescue team and taken to the provincial capital of Leon.
