Body of ‘poisoned’ husband to be exhumed

MELILLA – A judge ordered the body of a man to be dug up Monday as police investigate if he was poisoned by his wife.

The wife, who has only been named as Francisca B.M., has confessed to killing her own 15-year-old daughter by poisoning her.

The 35-year-old has also claimed to have poisoned her husband and attempted to murder their 12-year-old son.

The son was taken to hospital in Melilla for treatment.

The body of the husband, named as Antonio G.B., will be examined by forensic pathologists.

The 42-year-old died in January this year.

The court was hearing details of the case Monday.

The judge has ordered that no more details should be released about the case which has attracted huge attention in Spain.

The accused has been in prison since Wednesday last week when she was said to have confessed to the double murder.
