Geneve-Servette scores major new financial backing

The canton and city of Geneva announce financial grants totalling almost 13 million francs to help the most popular sports team in town - the Geneve-Servette ice hockey club. The money, much of which will be used to refurbish the clubs aging home rink, follows extensive lobbying from expat coach and part-owner Chris McSorley and accompanies government promises for a new arena by 2015.
