State logistics company Transnet has signed an agreement with Japan’s Mitsui & Co for the supply of an additional 32 new locomotives worth US230-million about R1.55-billion. The new locomotives will be used on the iron ore line which runs between the mines in Sishen and the port in Saldanha.
