Swiss voters reject plan to tighten gun control

Switzerland voted Sunday to maintain its long tradition of allowing citizens to keep army-issue weapons at home. The authorities put the proposal to a nationwide referendum after mounting concern over the countrys high rate of suicide by firearms.
