S.African mountain biker Stander killed in road accident

Champion mountain biker Burry Stander was killed Thursday after being run over by a minibus in a road accident, local media reported.
Describing Stander as a “true mountain biking legend” Bicycling SA reported he had been training on the KwaZulu-Natal coast when the accident occurred.
The 25-year-old who finished fifth at the London Olympics was reported to have been killed by a minibus taxi in a hit and run incident.
