The 138 megawatt Jeffrey's Bay wind farm, one of Africa's largest, has been officially inaugurated. Comprising sixty 80-metre high turbines spread over 3 700 hectares in South Africa's Eastern Cape province, the facility will supply enough renewable electricity to power more than 100000 homes a year.
