To mark 22 years of freedom, three South African artists have created a six-metre statue of Nelson Mandela in Ramallah, Palestine. The project was funded by the City of Johannesburg as a symbol of commitment to lasting peace in the Middle East, said Joburg mayor Parks Tau.
