United Kingdom R1bn govt boost for smallholder farmers

The government aims to establish 50 000 commercially-orientated smallholder farmers focusing on homelands, and has set aside over R1-billion for the programme for the current financial year, Agriculture and Forestry Minister Tina Joemat-Pettersson says.
