Maternal health improves in Gauteng

Simple interventions such as the introduction of Kangaroo mother care, the
promotion of breastfeeding, immunisation programmes and school health services
have helped improve child mortality rates in South Africa’s Gauteng province, the
MEC for Health Hope Papo said at the start of Reproductive Health Month.
