United Kingdom Lafarge to merge South Africa, Nigeria units

In a 1,35-billion deal, French cement maker Lafarge is to combine its South Africa business with publicly traded Nigerian unit Lafarge Wapco, to form the sixth largest company trading on the Nigerian stock exchange, the company said in a statement.
