The ‘i am not a tourist’ Expat Fair welcomed more than 3,500 visitors to the Beurs van Berlage in central Amsterdam on Sunday 4 October 2015, introducing foreigners to a world of expat information, social networking, entertainment and more. The 12th edition of the fair included stands, workshops and performances catered to newly arrived expats, long-standing residents, individuals and families alike. Over the years, the fair has become an annual institution for the international community living, working and studying in the Netherlands.
The Kids Area was a hit with the ‘mini expats’, where fun and educational activities were provided by Hestia Kinderopvang, a professional childcare organisation for Dutch families as well as internationals. Their dedication to early years childcare and education was certainly noticed at this years’ event, with many ‘thumbs up’ from the children.
