Cape Town: 2014 World Design Capital

Cape Town has beaten off competition from Dublin and Bilbao to be named as the World Design Capital for 2014. Mayor Patricia de Lille said the city would use the event, which takes place as South Africa celebrates 20 years of democracy, as a “driver of social and economic change in the environment”.
