praiadaluzThe price of a home in Portugal increased 16.4% in May 2018, compared to May last year, according to the residential prices index issued today by Confidencial Imobiliário's tracking data.

These figures are taken from actual transaction prices obtained from the Residential Information System.

This increase shows a rise in the rate of increase and sees a continuation of the rise in year-on-year property prices since the end of 2015.

In cash terms, a property that cost €60,000 in 2017, will now set the buyer back by €73,120.
