The fourth annual Scottish Asian Business Awards

First Minister for Scotland, Alex Salmond in a recent interview said, “The Scottish Asian Business Awards are a great opportunity to recognise the substantial contribution this business community makes to Scotland’s economy."

“This annual event celebrates the achievements of Asian businesses and entrepreneurs, showcasing innovation and success across the country. I look forward to attending the awards in November.”

Meanwhile David Cameron MP offered his comments: “I am delighted to welcome the opening of nominations for these awards, which have firmly established themselves in the calendar over the last four years. The success of the Awards is a reflection of the immense contribution which Scottish Asian businessmen and women make to Scottish life. Celebrating success in this way helps to inspire a new generation, so I would like to congratulate everyone involved in the awards.”

Angela Bennett, Group PR Manager for the Oceanic Group “With the nominations for the Scottish Asian Business Awards 2009 opening at the end of July the countdown to the most prestigious Awards ceremony in the Scottish Asian Business Community’s calendar begins.

“The Scottish Asian Business Awards pay tribute to Asian business men and women, from business giants to budding entrepreneurs, who are at the forefront of their industry." Said Angela  Over the past four years the reputation of the Awards has flourished thanks to the business men and women that grace the finalist shortlist and the winners’ podium. This year the magnitude of the Awards are highlighted once again by the presence of Scotland’s First Minister, Alex Salmond, and the continuing support of high profile politicians such as Jim Murphy, David Cameron and Baroness Sayeeda Warsi.”

Oceanic Consulting, the UK’s leading Black and ethnic consulting and promotions company, are once again organising the Awards from the event management – including ticket sales and sponsorship – straight through to the public and media relations aspects.
