The exhibition celebrates the diversity of stories of Highland Homecoming and is curated by Highland Council museums.
It looks at what people left behind when they left their homes in the Highlands and explores their hopes and fears for their future. It also looks at some of the propaganda produced to encourage migration. The stories of three Highlanders, from Nethy Bridge, Skye and Inverness, are explored.
An outreach programme and information for schools will be created to complement the exhibition.
A tandem exhibition, produced in collaboration with recent immigrants to the Highlands, explores contemporary stories of people who have come to the Highlands to work and create a home here.
