Government’s handling of Iraq tarnished Army’s reputation

The reputation of the British Army was severely tarnished by the Government’s
handling of the Iraq war with a near total absence of leadership, a Tory
candidate who fought in Basra has said as the party leaders prepare for the
next election debate tonight.
