A 37-year-old woman was killed this morning, May 2nd, at her home in Vila Real de Santo António.
The woman’s body later was taken from her apartment and transported by ambulance to the Medical-Legal Office of Faro.
For several hours, a forensic analysis was carried out by a team from the Judicial Police while the former partner of the victim was detained by the GNR.
The alert was received at 11:47 this morning, and the Public Security Police, Vila Real de Sto. António bombeiros and an emergency medical team were soon at the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding this murder and the identification and detention of its perpetrator, now will be transferred to the Judicial Police.
According to CM TV, the woman recently had separated from her partner.
