Vilamoura Marina is named the “International Marina of the Year”

Vilamoura Marina won the title of “International Marina of the Year 2019/2020”, awarded today in the UK by the Yacht Harbour Association, at the Southampton Boat Show.  

The award was presented at the 7th edition of the ceremony recognizing the best marinas in the world, choosing from the 160 with Gold Anchor accreditation. Prizes are awarded through the votes of boat owners.  

This award follows others already received by Vilamoura Marina, such as “International Marina of Distinction” between 2015-2017, awarded in recognition of the Marina being awarded for three consecutive years previously as “International Marina of the Year”. Vilamoura marina then won the “International Marina 2018/2019”, making this year their fifth win of the award.  

Celebrating 45 years of existence, Vilamoura Marina has a current capacity of 825 moorings, a fully operational shipyard, a professional training centre, a strong commercial environment and the marina is a host to various international nautical events, such as the 2019 420 sailing World Championship.
