Two men arrested for Sagres vehicle thefts

The Sagres GNR have arrested two men, aged 59 and 61, for five thefts from vehicles on the beaches of Sagres, in the municipality of Vila of the Bispo, Algarve.

Following a report of several thefts from vehicles parked on the access roads to the beaches in the parish of Sagres, the police carried out investigations that culminated in the location and interception of the suspects.

The action resulted in the seizure of 220 euros in cash, a mobile phone, various clothing items, documents and personal effects, a hammer, a screwdriver and a lock pick.

During the course of the operation, it was also found that the 61-year-old suspect had a pending arrest warrant for a two-year term imprisonment for crimes of the same nature, so he was delivered directly to the prison in Olhão.
