Two people died and two others were seriously injured at the Faro airport roundabout, in the early hours of this Sunday.
The emergency alert was given at 04:23 when a light vehicle crashed near the Faro Airport roundabout, the car with four occupants following this vehicle somehow ended up crashing violently into one of the large stone statues on the airport roundabout, knocking it over.
According to a source from the District Center for Relief Operations (CDOS), the four occupants of the car are of Brazilian nationality, aged between 20 and 30 years old.
“One female and one male occupant of the car were declared dead on the spot and the two seriously injured occupants, also one female and one male, were transported to Faro hospital,” said the CDOS.
18 emergency operatives and 9 vehicles from the Firefighters Sapadores de Faro, INEM and GNR attended the scene.
