Stricter restrictions now in force include digital certificate or a negative test being needed

The epidemiological situation has worsened again in the country, meaning new rules such as a digital certificate or a negative test being needed to enter restaurants, hotels and tourist establishments in the high and very high risk municipalities.

The digital certificate or a negative test is now required:

• in tourist establishments and local accommodation, every day and throughout the national territory;
• in the access to the interior of the restaurants (and not to the terrace), on Fridays from 7 pm and during weekends and holidays, in municipalities at high and very high risk

33 councils at very high risk:

Albufeira , Alcochete, Almada, Amadora, Arruda dos Vinhos, Avis, Barreiro, Cascais, Faro , Lagos, Lisbon, Loulé , Loures, Lourinhã, Mafra, Mira, Moita, Montijo, Mourão, Nazaré, Odivelas, Oeiras, Olhão , Porto, Santo Tirso, São Brás de Alportel , Seixal, Sesimbra, Silves , Sintra, Sobral de Monte Agraço, Vagos and Vila Franca de Xira.

•  Mandatory telework when activities allow;
•  Limitation of circulation on public roads from 11 pm;
•  The digital certificate or a negative test is now required inside the restaurants (and not on the terrace), on Fridays from 7 pm and during weekends and holidays.
•  Restaurants and cafes can be open until 22:30 during the week and until 15:30 at the weekend (indoor, with a maximum of 4 people per group; on the terrace, 6 people per group);
•  Cultural shows until 22:30;
•  Weddings and baptisms with 25% of the capacity;
•  Food retail trade until 9pm during the week and until 7pm on weekends and holidays;
•  Non-food retail trade until 9 pm during the week and until 3:30 pm on weekends and holidays;
•  Gyms without group classes, low and medical risk sports
•  Outdoor events with reduced capacity, to be defined by the DGS;
•  Citizen offices with face-to-face service by appointment only

27 councils at high risk:

Albergaria-a-Velha, Alenquer, Aveiro, Azambuja, Bombarral, Braga, Cartaxo, Constance, Ilhavo, Lagoa , Matosinhos, Óbidos, Palmela, Portimão , Paredes de Coura, Rio Maior, Salvaterra de Magos, Santarém, Setúbal, Sines, Torres Vedras, Trancoso, Viana do Alentejo, Vila Nova de Famalicão, Vila Nova de Gaia and Viseu.

• Restaurants, cafes and patisseries can be open until 22:30 (inside, with a maximum of 6 people per group; on the terrace, 10 people per group);
• Cultural shows until 22:30;
• Weddings and baptisms with 50% of the capacity;
• Food and non-food retail trade until 9 pm;

34 councils on alert:

Alcobaça, Arouca, Arraiolos, Barcelos, Batalha, Benavente, Caldas da Rainha, Cantanhede, Carregal do Sal, Castro Marim , Chaves, Coimbra, Elvas, Espinho, Figueira da Foz, Gondomar, Guimarães, Leiria, Lousada, Maia, Monchique , Montemor -o-Novo, Oliveira do Bairro, Paredes, Pedrogão Grande, Peniche, Porto de Mós, Póvoa do Varzim, Reguengos de Monsaraz, Santiago do Cacém, Tavira , Valongo, Vila do Bispo and Vila Real de Santo António.
